COTTON
Cotton is a true go-to staple when it comes to natural fibers. It’s extremely versatile, soft, breathable and easy to dye, and can be blended with a wide variety of other fabrics. All of our cottons are sustainably sourced, which for us means either organic, sourced through BCI (the Better Cotton Initiative), or recycled. At the moment, this is the most sustainable way for us to work with cotton, but as we continue to grow so will our use of recycled cotton.
LINEN
Made from flax fiber, linen is durable, lovely to touch, and keeps you cool during warmer seasons. It is also a good alternative from a sustainability point of view because the plant-to-harvest process is only approximately three months, it can grow in poor soil and requires little when it comes to fertilizers, pesticides, and water.
CUPRO
Light, breezy and silky smooth against the skin, this material has an array of dreamy features. It is plant-based fiber, made from cotton linter (the fuzz around the cottonseed) that would otherwise have gone to waste. This fiber is also biodegradable and compostable, and will naturally break down after disposal.
VEGAN
One of our fabric suppliers called İpeker became the world's primary fabric producer to receive the V-Label Certificate in the Vegan class with 146 varied fabrics. The V-Label Certificate has been issued by the European Vegetarian Union. With this certificate, fabrics produced with Cupro, New Life, Tencel, Modal, Viscose, Polyester, Polyamide, Linen, and elastane blends proved to be animal-protein-free and Vegan. V-Label Certificate is one of the essential steps taken by İpeker in the environmental dimension in order to preserve natural resources while producing. Fabrics have been tested in V-Label GmbH Germany Test Laboratories and in TÜBİTAK. Compliance with all Vegan Criteria has been ensured.
